The anticipation has been building for quite some time. And after having shared countless passionate musical discussions with Ksenia, she has made the exhilarating choice to unveil her enchanting Neo-classical piano compositions for all to savor. And we're thrilled to help her release them! In between the release of her first single (Life) and her following one (Empathy) , we felt it was the perfect moment to catch up and delve into the thrilling essence of this musical journey.
Hi Ksenia, how are you?
I'm very good and excited to see my first single is out.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your influences ?
My music journey began with a music school at the age of 9. In my home country, this was the place for evening classes after regular school hours. I remember my piano teacher guiding me through playing Chopin's waltz, "This gentle descending melody is akin to small diamonds rolling down a staircase." Similarly, she would ask me to approach Grieg's etude by imagining his music as the storm creeping in from the sea. She was a very talented professor. So, I can say that I've been influenced by that experience but also my travels, nature, the books I've read, the movies I've watched, the architecture that impressed me, and the joy and grievances I've experienced.
In terms of musical styles, I'm influenced by classics such as E. Grieg, L. Beethoven, F. Chopin, just to name a few, as well as contemporary piano composers like Yann Tiersen, Max Richter and many other beautiful artists. I think piano for me is one of the ways to express emotions I cannot otherwise formulate. I prefer pure piano without special effects. It allows you to listen as if someone is telling you a story.
You’ve just released your new single - Life -, what does this piece mean to you?
It celebrates our life through its contrasts. It starts with a warm major melody, but then it transforms into a minor one, illustrating a different perspective or another stage in someone's life. Just as our memories encompass both joyous and melancholic moments, this piece represents such reflections.
Can you give us a sneak peak into what’s coming next? There will be a few more singles and then the whole album. The next composition is coming very soon. Its name is Empathy. I hope you will like it too.
